Mr. Ning’s Chinese Garden
Address: 127 Sumner Ave, Avalon CA 90704

For a family-friendly feel, Mr. Ning’s Chinese Garden offers a full menu including Wonton soup and Kung Pao chicken. Within its charming décor and authentic lanterns hanging from the ceiling, servers offered wonton noodles and dipping sauce while waiting. Good thing, because the soup was piping hot and perfect from a long day of walking Avalaon Bay and shopping its quaint shops. Next up was the Kung Pao chicken. The chicken was lean yet moist, and the sauce was just that right combination of spicy with a hint of richness.
The service was friendly and courteous, and our waitress stopped by more than once to check on us. When the bill came I was pleasantly surprised. Not expensive, just real fresh food at a reasonable price. As I walked up the street, I saw the restaurant filling up fast, and some folks were even waiting outside on the sidewalk. I guess I got there just in time. Mr. Ning’s Chinese Garden is definitely one place I’ll be visiting again soon.
